On May 11, 2009, NEC LCD Technology released four LCD panel modules with backlights for white LEDs. It has a long life, 70,000 hours at room temperature (25 °C) and 60,000 hours at high temperature (70 °C). Mainly used in industrial equipment such as measuring instruments and FA control.
The pixels for the 15-inch product and the 10.5-inch product are 1024768 (XGA). The brightness is 400 cd/m2. In terms of contrast, the 15-inch product is 500 to 1, and the 10.4-inch product is 900 to 1. The viewing angle is 160 degrees above and below (the contrast is 10 to 1 or more). The operating temperature range is -20 to +70 ° C for 15-inch products and -30 to +80 ° C for 10.4 inches. In terms of power consumption, the 15-inch product is 10.6W and the 10.4-inch product is 5W.
The pixels for the 9-inch and 7-inch products are 800480 (widescreen VGA). The brightness is 400 cd/m2, the contrast ratio is 600 to 1, the viewing angle is 176 degrees (the contrast ratio is 10 to 1 or more), and the operating temperature range is -30 to +80 °C. In terms of power consumption, the 9-inch product is 4.5W, and the 7-inch product is 4.1W.
Sample shipments are scheduled to begin after June 2009. The sample price is 80,000 yen for a 15-inch product, 70,000 yen for a 10.5-inch product, 60,000 yen for a 9-inch product, and 50,000 yen for a 7-inch product.
NEC LCD Technology is scheduled to be held at the 12th Embedded Systems Development Technology Exhibition (ESEC) held at the Tokyo International Convention and Exhibition Center from May 13th to 15th, 2009, and held in San Antonio, USA from May 31st to June 5th, 2009.
