Energy-saving lamps export good days have to wait for companies to pay attention

The anti-dumping case of energy-saving bulbs exported to Europe has been twisted and twisted. Just as the industry was waiting for the EU to lift the anti-dumping tax rate, the EU Council did the opposite on the 15th and decided to impose another year of anti-dumping duties on energy-saving light bulbs produced in China.

Since 2001, the EU has imposed an anti-dumping duty of up to 66.1% on energy-saving light bulbs produced in China for a period of five years. In July 2006, the EU, at the request of a few lighting equipment manufacturers, launched a 15-month investigation on energy-saving light bulbs produced in China to decide whether to continue to impose anti-dumping duties. During the investigation, the original anti-dumping measures still apply. In August this year, the European Commission proposed to continue to impose a one-year anti-dumping duty on energy-saving light bulbs produced in China and submit this proposal to the European Council for approval. However, this proposal has met with strong dissatisfaction from the EU business community and environmentalists. They believe that continuing to impose anti-dumping duties will harm the interests of EU companies and consumers. Anti-dumping duties have caused the price of energy-saving light bulbs in the EU market to rise by nearly 70%.

The European Union used to be the main overseas market for energy-saving light bulb enterprises in Ningbo. In recent years, due to the high anti-dumping duties imposed by the city, many enterprises in the city had to reluctantly give up the relevant person from the Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau of the European city. The EU Council decided to levy another one. The annual anti-dumping duty means that the "good days" for exporting energy-saving light bulbs to Europe have to wait. He suggested that relevant companies pay close attention to the EU market dynamics, do not easily give up this market consensus, and raise the lawsuit against the EU to extend the anti-dumping duty on energy-saving lamps. The EU decided to levy another year of anti-dumping duties on China's energy-saving lamps. An aerial cable or air cable is an insulated cable usually containing all conductors required for an electrical transmission system or a telecommunication line, which is suspended between utility poles or electricity pylons. As aerial cables are completely insulated there is no danger of electric shock when touching them and there is no requirement for mounting them with insulators on pylons and poles. A further advantage is they require less right of way than overhead lines for the same reason. They can be designed as shielded cables for telecommunication purposes. If the cable falls, it may still operate if its insulation is not damaged.

As aerial cables are installed on pylons or poles, they may be cheaper to install than underground cables, as no work for digging is required, which can be very expensive in rocky areas
