Gym floor crossed LED strips to replace ribbons

A German company, ABS Systembau GMBH, developed a glass-enclosed LED lighting system that replaces the traditional scribing on the wooden floor of a gymnasium with LED light strips. At present, this unique lighting system has been put into use in many school gymnasiums in Germany. This kind of lighting system can be used for basketball, tennis, badminton, or other activities, so that ordinary stadiums can become all-around stadiums, suitable for all kinds of competitions.

The lighting system is called ABS Glassfloor. The glass material of the floor is treated with ceramics to achieve the flexibility and friction of the wooden floor. The company promises to execute the "bounce test" for the intended customers to ensure that the flexibility of the ball on the ABS Glassfloor is the same as the wooden floor in the gymnasium.

The ABS Glassfloor has also been treated to reduce light reflections to prevent interference with the athletes. ABS Glassfloor light reflections are the same as typical marble surface reflections. ABS Glassfloor is made of a lightweight aluminum frame, with LED lighting support, and can be combined with sensors to illuminate the ball to the floor or the player's foot to determine if they are out of bounds.
