ENSO detego, a provider of supply chain management RFID solutions for the apparel and retail market, announced that German fashion retailer Schneider-Moden has adopted its Detego Basic Store integrated software to manage apparel items, with EPC pre-installed on each item Gen 2 passive ultra high frequency (UHF) RFID tags.
The software is designed to automate inventory, sales, and replenishment process management and is put into use at two newly opened Gerry Weber fashion retail stores in Schneider-Moden.
According to the description of Matjaz Novak, marketing director of ENSO detego, the plan is fully deployed throughout the store, which can realize the functions of tracking goods in stock, checking inventory, monitoring and more.
"The integration of RFID software has made the application of this solution very successful," Novak pointed out.
The items arriving at the store have been pre-sewn with EPC Gen 2 RFID tags, and the store staff can check and accept the goods within a few minutes.
ENSO detego explained that shop assistants can also accurately know where the goods are located, and the electronic article surveillance (EAS) system can also play a role in anti-theft, compatible with other IT systems of retailers.
