The status quo of white LED technology development
Mr. Chen Dahua first introduced the 15 advantages of LED: energy saving, environmental protection, safety, long life, low consumption, low heat, color light, white light, high brightness, waterproof, miniature, shockproof, easy dimming, concentrated beam, easy maintenance. Rational call in white LED application
The rational call in the application of white LED is the core of this seminar. Mr. Chen Dahua divided it into three parts to explain:
The first part: Mr. Chen Dahua believes that in the application of white LED, the first call, we must rationally learn and gradually understand the principles, advantages and disadvantages, use requirements and cost performance of LED lighting, and establish regulations and standards to gradually promote. Secondly, the development of China's LED industry with high-tech chip technology and independent intellectual property rights as the core. The second part: When applying LED, Mr. Chen Dahua felt that he should pay attention to the following problems: understanding the principle of LED light source; the principle of white LED light source; paying attention to the electrical characteristics of LED; understanding the volt-ampere characteristics of LED light source; controlling LED working current The importance of LED dimming to adjust the current or adjust the pulse width to achieve dimming will change the LED light color, but beneficial to LED life; LED should use DC voltage and constant current driving mode; understand the thermal performance of LED; The importance of LEDs; understanding the light characteristics of LED light sources; the difficulty of waterproofing of high-current circuit nodes using a large number of LED lighting devices; the lifetime of LEDs and the maintenance of luminous flux; the optical design of LED light sources; eliminating some misunderstandings of LEDs Explore and establish new standards and corresponding testing techniques and standards for indoor and outdoor lighting projects suitable for LED light sources; familiar with the main technical indicators of LED.
Part III: For the analysis of LEDs as street lights and tunnel lights, Mr. Chen Dahua sees this: First, the advantages of LEDs bring dawn and hope to the reform of street lights and tunnel lights, and its huge economic and social benefits are attractive. Second, but there are still maintenance difficulties, especially the drive circuit is inconsistent; at the same time, the high-power LED cooling system is not perfect, the LED light is fast, the life is not up to standard; the lack of suitable excellent light distribution performance, lighting The road and tunnel lighting standards cannot be met; in addition, the price is obviously high, which also restricts its promotion and application.
In the end, how to make a rational call in the application of white LED? Mr. Chen Dahua summed up two points: First, the functional departments of our country must conduct market research for the health promotion and application of LED products in time, and ban the non-standard advertisements and misleading customers of enterprises. And to organize relevant experts to develop corresponding standards as soon as possible. Second, the experience of international advanced countries in this respect is worth learning from, such as the work of the US Department of Energy (DOE) in recent years. Third, LED (Light Emitting Diode) should be a kind of solid state light source SSL (Solid State Lighting), especially attention to OLED.
The development prospect of white LED is brilliant
According to Mr. Chen Dahua, LED has established some industrial bases. Together with the newly added Yangzhou LED industry base, there are already seven or eight LED industry bases in China. All localities are trying to find ways to win the resources of the country, so each base has its own characteristics.
Mr. Chen Dahua believes that the dawn of semiconductor lighting is the concerted effort of the whole country.
